I am grateful for being alive today. It is my joy and pleasure to live another wonderful day.
Love is the great miracle cure. Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives.

Whenever I find myself in the cellar of affliction, I always look about for the wine.
From Luke 22:19-20: “Then He took a loaf of bread, and when He had given thanks He broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.’ And He did the same with the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.'”
Samuel Rutherford (1600-1661) was a Scottish pastor and Christian theologian.

Thanksgiving is a time of quiet reflection . . . an annual reminder that God has, again, been ever so faithful. The solid and simple things of life are brought into clear focus.
From Psalm 107:8-9: “Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wonderful works to humankind. For He satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry He fills with good things.”

Seven days without prayer makes one weak.
From Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Don’t have anything to be thankful for? Check your pulse!
From Psalm 103:1-2: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits.”

God’s generous gifts of relationships, possessions, and meaningful work should never be cherished more than the Giver.
From Matthew 6:24: “No one can serve two masters, for a slave will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

This coming week, take time to remember what the Lord has done for you, and express your thanks. Be creative and try different ways to show gratefulness–sing, praise, and joyfully worship Him.
From Psalm 92:1-2: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.”

Thank God for all things.
From Psalm 65:1-4: “Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion; and to you shall vows be performed, O you who answer prayer! To you all flesh shall come. When deeds of iniquity overwhelm us, you forgive our transgressions. Happy are those whom you choose and bring near to live in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

The Bible tells us that whenever we come before God, whatever our purpose or prayer request, we are always to come with a thankful heart.
From Proverbs 15:29: “The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.”
