Early morning darkness
Peace fills wakening mind
Gathering every word
Another light he finds
Candle flickers nearby
Aroma filling room
Harvesting one more thought
Imagination blooms
Pen continues journey
Filled with inner meaning
Opening up heart’s spirit
His garden now greening
Breath of past dropping in
Memories full of light
Remembering again
Solitude always bright
Blessed sunrise arrives
New day now waits to fill
Cascading to new page
Ripples from writer’s quill

Early morning is the best time to be alone with God, our thoughts and our ability to commune with Him and get creative sparks from our Creator.

I agree with your desire to be alone with God in the early morning. This is my daily practice as well.

Beverley, I appreciate these kind words of affirmation. Lately, the Lord’s encouragement has stirred a growth spurt in my volume of writing. Praising His light, which leads every stroke of my pen. God’s grace and peace always be with you.

In the book of Mark 1:35 that Jesus got up early left the house and when off to a quiet place to pray. For me early morning was always a good time to be alone with the Lord while my house was quiet and I wouldn’t be needed
