Winter’s fading breath
Discovering light
One final snowflake
Springtime taking flight
Winter pushed aside
Taking rest once more
Moved from nature’s shelf
Change coming ashore
Time bursting forward
Sharpening each thought
Landscape’s fresh colors
Lessons being taught
Young and old smiling
Finding spring abloom
Nature turns its page
Song fills every room
Daylight grows longer
Feeling warmth each day
April showers come
May flowers will stay
Life’s faithful rhythm
Rising overnight
Harmony fills hearts
Love found at first sight

Beautiful words to welcome the coming of a new season. Unfortunately, our snowiest month is usually March. I really can’t complain lain though. We’ve had a pretty mild winter.

I agree such beautiful words that capture the anticipation of Spring. Hoping your March weather is mild.

I’m waiting in anticipation for spring, but God set up the seasons and it’s not quite time for it yet. Thank you for the hope in your verses!

Vickie, I must admit that my writing energy is wanting to embrace some thoughts about spring. I’m sure winter will make a return, but the first days of February are going to be mild ones.

Same here in VA. I’m glad for the respite from the cold, if only for a few days.

I felt a bit guilty yesterday when our temperature reached the low 60s. Meanwhile family in Montana was enduring heavy snow and Arctic cold.

When we lived in Maine, my siblings got great joy from telling me about the warmth and flowers down south while we still had over 100 inches of snow on the ground. But God said not to covet and I have learned (and I’m still learning) to be content where I am.

Dora, thank you for adding your voice to the journey of these verses. The photo became more of a footnote for the entire poem.
