Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964)
Preparedness is the key to success and victory.
Omar Bradley (1893-1981)
Set your course by the stars, not be the lights of every passing ship
Preparedness is the key to success and victory.

I’ve never heard that Bradley quotation. It’s wonderful — and, having done some offshore sailing and navigating, it’s clearly reality based!

Thanks so much for sharing. I hold a great deal of respect for General Bradley because he proved to be a humble and remarkable leader.

So true Karla! I think preparedness was an important skill during my many years of teaching. It also lends itself to being flexible when the plan needs to change. I am slowly catching up on my blog after being away. Thanks for your patience.

You’re so welcome, Richard. I completely understand. Covid is rearing its ugly head around SW MO. Sadly, I have a 35 year old cousin in ICU. My father is going to have a pacemaker put in with a 3rd lead on the 22nd. It seems a cloud is hanging over the area. I’m trying to remain grounded and be a light; keep the faith and help others. We are in such a “me ,me ,me” world. I’m so behind on reading. I’ve set deadlines for myself on my first children’s book. One day at a time…and with Christ as my sole focus-that’s my key to enjoying life right now! I hope you both stay healthy and blessed!

Karla, I apologize for being a few day late in my reply. Keeping your cousin, father, and the rest of your family in prayer. Indeed, we need to take life’s journey one day at a time, with God leading. God’s peace.

Thank you so much, Richard! My cousin is showing signs of improvement-he has been moved to a regular room. They are still concerned with blood clots. Dad goes in tomorrow. I am going to remind him of Ezekiel 36:26, “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.” Peace to you both! Thank you!
