Caffeinated
Morning
Needing ambition
Starting day’s engines
Fueled for another shift
Coffee

Sugar Explosion
Dreaming
Sweet treats
Glazed or sugared
Some filled with sweetness
Doughnuts

Comfort
Music
Artists singing
Streaming endless tunes
Thoughts lost in melody
Peace

This series of poems (written in the German-inspired style of Elfchen or Elevenie) shares a total of eleven words in each poem, with a sequence by line of one, two, three, four, and one words.
I particularly like the one about comfort and music. Music can bring such peace! Thanks for all the Elfchen! 🙂

I enjoy the comfort and peace of music, especially in the morning during my writing time.

Ditto! Even better with a free refill on the coffee.

Love the sugar explosion poem! Our family tradition is we get donut as a family once a year on Near Year’s Day so reading this makes me think of that coming soon

Thanks for reading Jim. I hope the donuts were good on New Year’s Day. I try to stay away from now (keeping my sugars under control), but a few years ago there always seemed to be a donut with my name on it.

Jan, I appreciate your kind words. I have increased the use of this style in more of my poetry. May you and Bob find even more of God’s hope, peace, and joy this year.
