We need to learn this secret of the burning heart.  When God gives a vision, transact business on that line, no matter what it costs.

From Luke 24:30-32:  [On the road to Emmaus] “When He was at the table with them, He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.  Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.  They said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He was talking to us on the road, while He was opening the scriptures to us?'”

By sanctification the Son of God is formed in me, then I have to transform my natural life into a spiritual life by obedience to Him.

From 2 Corinthians 7:1:  “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.”

Your mind is the greatest gift God has given you, and it ought to be devoted entirely to Him.

From 2 Timothy 1:7:  “For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.

We are not saved to be “channels only,” but to be sons and daughters of God.  We are not turned into spiritual mediums, but into spiritual messengers; the message must be part of ourselves.

From 2 Timothy 4:2:  “Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.”

Never try to live the life with God on any other line than God’s line, and that line is absolute devotion to Him.

From John 6:67-69:  “So Jesus asked the twelve, ‘Do you also wish to go away?’  Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life.  We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.'”

You have to learn to go out of convictions, out of creeds, out of experiences, until, so far as your faith is concerned, there is nothing between yourself and God.

From Hebrews 11:8-9:  “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; and he set out, not knowing where he was going.  By faith he stayed for a time in the land he had been promised, as in a foreign land, living in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.

The reason some of us are such poor specimens of Christianity is because we have no Almighty Christ.  We have Christian attributes and experiences, but there is no abandonment to Jesus Christ.

From John 4:11-14:  “The woman said to him, ‘Sir, you have no bucket, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?  Are you greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us the well, and with his sons and his flocks drank from it?  Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.’  The woman said to him, ‘Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.'”

If we let the Spirit of God bring us face to face with God, we too will hear something akin to what Isaiah heard, the still small voice of God; and in perfect freedom will say–“Here am I; send me.”

From Isaiah 6:8:  “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’  And I said, ‘Here am I; send me!'”
