How many people are equipped to handle mistreatment after they’ve done right? Only Christians are equipped to do that. That is what makes believers stand out. That’s our uniqueness.
From Matthew 5:10: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail. Let’s make a long-term commitment to quality control. Let’s move out of the thick ranks of the mediocre and join the thin ranks of excellence.
From Ecclesiastes 3:22: “So I saw that there is nothing better than that all should enjoy their work, for that is their lot; who can bring them to see what will be after them?”
Understand that God, in His sovereignty, places His hand over our lives and allows us to pass through painful experiences that we would never choose or want. Accepting and learning from them, we grow deeper in Christian life.
From Ecclesiastes 3:14: “ I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it; God has done this so that all should stand in awe before Him.”
There is someone who fully knows what lurks in our hearts. Our God, alone knows. He sympathizes with our weaknesses and forgives all our transgressions. To Him there are no secret struggles or silent cries. He hears. He sees. He stays near.
From Psalm 145:18: “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”
There is something wonderfully exciting about reaching into the future with excited anticipation, and those who pursue new adventures through life stay younger, think better, and laugh louder.
From Jeremiah 29:11: “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.“
Being obedient to the truth means that we don’t have to look at others through the distorted lens of our own biases. We can see them as God sees them and love them as He loves them.
From 1 Peter 1:22-23: “Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual affection, love one another deeply from the heart. You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.”
Never give your family the leftovers and crumbs of your time.
From Psalm 90:12: “So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.”
God works by simply stepping into our ordinary day of life and saying what He wants to say. It’s a meat-and-potatoes kind of proposition. Here’s what needs doing, and you’re the person who’s going to do it, “so let’s get after it.”
From Proverbs 8:22: “The Lord created me at the beginning of His work, the first of His acts of long ago.”
Replace your excuses with fresh determination.
From 1 John 2:28-29: “And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before Him at His coming.”
The only way to find happiness in the grind of life is to do so by faith.
From 2 Corinthians 5:6-7: “So we are always confident, even though we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
