  1. Even though the trees are almost empty of their foliage there is so much beauty in the starkness of them. I love watching as the sun goes down and they now create silhouettes of delicate patterns in their emptiness.

  2. Your “Treasured” haiku, and the line about the final leaf falling, reminded me of two lines from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “Christobel”:

    “The one red leaf, the last of its clan,
    That dances as often as dance it can.”
