Morning sky awakens
Peace fills nature’s outlook
Landscape’s fresh, white blanket
Winter’s cozy look
Horizon full of gray
Light tries to brighten
Sun waits for tomorrow
Winter’s grip tightens
Hope’s disappearing breath
Tranquility’s free-fall
Each snowflake multiplies
Winter’s sudden squall
Wind churns with whitest sky
Brief storm now taking rest
Clouds open with sunlight
Winter’s steady quest

Beautiful! After a series of unusually warm days, we’re headed back into true cold — perhaps even light freezes — despite the absence of snow. Mother Nature can be a tease!

Linda, you are so correct about Mother Nature being a tease. I’m sure our Monday morning wind chill will have everyone in central Ohio wondering what’s up.

Winter is cozy if I am inside drinking coffee 🙂

Hey Matt, drinking coffee sounds like the best way to go. Our upcoming Monday morning wind chill just might invite my wife and I to stay indoors.

Jan, I know everyone in Montana is looking for some relief from the harsh Arctic cold. When I was teaching at Circle, Montana years ago, we endured two incredibly cold December’s in 1986 and 1987.
