When you are tempted to take matters into your own hands, remember the Lord’s guidance.
From Isaiah 30:15: “For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved;in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
From Hebrews 13:5: “Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for He has said, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.'”
From 1 Timothy 6:9-10: “But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.”
It is easier to stay out of temptation than to get out of it.
From 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.”
