Our greatest impact on this earth comes from loving and serving others–as Jesus did.
From Galatians 5:13-14: “For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become enslaved to one another. For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”
It’s easy to be bold and courageous if everything is going your way. But you’ll never fully discover who Jesus really is unless you walk through one life-stretching, faith-forming challenge after another.
From Isaiah 43:2-3: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
When facing painful trials, we may be tempted to doubt God’s love for us. Remember that God orchestrated the greatest demonstration of love possible–His Son’s death on the cross.
From Romans 5:8-9: “But God proves His love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us. Much more surely, therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, will we be saved through Him from the wrath of God.”
Our loving heavenly Father invites us to bring our burdens to Him and accept the strength He offers.
From Psalm 55:22: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Have you forgotten just how amazing our great God is? Spend time remembering today.
From Galatians 4:4-7: “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children. And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’ So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir through God.“
Adversity is not only a bridge to a deeper relationship with God, but it’s also the path to freedom, healing, and maximum usefulness.
From Hebrews 12:11-13: “Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.“
Choosing to align our thoughts with God’s Word will move us toward the abundant life our Creator designed.
From 1 Corinthians 2:15-16: “Those who are spiritual discern all things, and they are themselves subject to no one else’s scrutiny. ‘For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”
When fear begins to sink in, I pray harder, study longer, and read my Bible more closely. God wants to cast out the fear and doubt in your life.
From Psalm 27:1: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
The greatest legacy we can leave is not money or belongings but the truth that changes lives. Begin today to influence future generations by bringing them the Good News.
From 2 Timothy 3:14-15: “ But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have known sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
When we stay focused on Jesus, we can take comfort in knowing He’ll lead us through the hard places.
From Isaiah 41:10: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with My victorious right hand.”
