Conflict’s illumination
Breathing at darkened crossroads
Competing sides debate
Feuding over each thought sowed
Wisdom arrives with patience
Lowering volume through grace
Pausing time to listen
Slowing down rhetoric’s pace
Conflict’s common ground merges
Finding compromise through peace
Hearing words of reason
Solving puzzle’s missing piece
Wisdom empowers new day
Offering one blessed choice
Walking together now
Gathering with single voice

Impressive

This is so pertinent to what’s going on in my state right now. Listening to the voice of reason, following God’s guidance, listening to each other, working together, finding common ground- all ways to communicate without destroying each other.

Kathy, thank you for your welcome words. I try to keep my blog apolitical, but sometimes I find an avenue to express thoughts grounded in common sense.

It’s hard to remain neutral in a turbulent climate. All we can do is pray that God remains in control.

Dora, I appreciate you sharing back this verse. We hear so little of the use of compromise in today’s heated political climate.
