Farm’s eternal footprint
Memories held tight
From each generation
Nurturing what’s right
Kitchen table’s witness
Writes each diary page
Chronicles history
Filling life’s rain gauge
Precious hope’s future link
Tough times overcome
History comes alive
Leaving each bread crumb
Confidence builds each spring
Another crop sown
Expected fall harvest
Paying back bank loan
Farmer’s faithful outlook
Every season’s birth
Tomorrow remains bright
Blessing Mother Earth

Brought back memories of being part of a college group that would spend a weekend at a farm and all of the good food

Blessings Matt. Thanks so much for sharing this memory. My first teaching job took me from the big city of Billings, Montana to a small farming/ranching community in southeastern region. Plevna was a welcoming place for a new teacher.

And yours is the image of a family table. We ended up huddled around a counter, but it worked. Thankfully. Good kids…

Jacqui, thanks so much for sharing your witness of being huddled up around a kitchen counter. A family’s heart can always be found at Home. Blessings to you with each opportunity waiting to blossom with a new year.

Nancy, thank you for sharing the impact of the last verse. While I never lived on a farm or ranch, I spent many years of teaching in rural Montana. The faith shown by these hard-working families is incredible to witness.
