I like the first quotation. It reminds me of a prayer that says something like, “Don’t give me too much lest I become proud and think I don’t need you, Lord. And don’t give me too little, lest I become bitter over not having enough. Give me just what I need for the day, Lord, and a little more to share with others.” (That’s a paraphrase because I cannot recall the exact words.)

Vickie, thank you for sharing this prayer. It is easily adaptable into anyone’s daily moments in prayer. It parallels the Serenity Prayer in a way.
