Resolve
Facing
Life’s detours
Unwavering faith breathes
Filled with Savior’s hope
Overcoming

Reaffirm
Waiting
Patience nourished
Savior’s risen spirit
Filled with mercy’s connection
Reflecting

Rekindle
Believing
Savior’s light
Darkness swept away
Filled with love’s truth
Maturing

This series of poems (written in the German-inspired style of Elfchen or Elevenie) shares a total of eleven words in each poem, with a sequence by line of one, two, three, four, and one words.
I am discovering that the detours set before us only sharpen our relationship with
God and his eternal grace. Even the roadblocks can be good for us.

Perhaps! Judy, thanks for sharing. I’ll have to educate myself more about Tolkien.

Amen. Matt, your reflections are a blessing to read. While we may not be seeking more of life’s detours, we an embrace them with God’s steady hand guiding us.
