I embrace emerging experience. I participate in discovery. I am a butterfly. I am not a butterfly collector. I want the experience of the butterfly.
Wisdom is having things right in your life and knowing why.
William Stafford (1914-1993) was an American poet.
Stafford is one of my favorite poets. I have several of his poems saved to use in my posts, including one that includes these marvelous lines:
“For it is important that awake people be awake,
or a breaking line may discourage them back to sleep;
the signals we give — yes or no, or maybe —
should be clear: the darkness around us is deep.”

Stafford’s thoughts encourage a deep mess with our reflections. Linda, thank you for sharing some of his poetry’s gifts.
