The Lord wants us to lay down our ways of figuring things out and instead to walk by faith.
From 2 Corinthians 5:6-7: “So we are always confident; even though we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Life Paul in prison, we may go through very difficult times, but if our focus is on God, we will be content and even joyful.
From Philippians 4:5-6: “Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers have the ability to endure difficultly and accomplish whatever the Lord calls them to do.
From 2 Corinthians 3:4-6: “Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
God knows we sometimes need to reach the end of our own resources before we will turn to Him.
From Psalm 107:28-29: “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out from their distress; He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.”
Take a moment to ask the Lord if anything is clouding your internal signals, and trust in His promise to make your path straight.
From Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
At some point, we all experience heartache. But one thing is certain: Jesus will be standing by our side to strengthen and deliver us in our time of need.
From Hebrews 13:5-6: “Be content with what you have; for He has said, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.” 6 So we can say with confidence.'”
The world makes all kinds of promises about love, acceptance, and self-worth, but they never last. Only Jesus can fill our empty souls for eternity.
From John 4:13-14: “Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.'”
There are many things vying for our attention, and we often choose the quick task over investment in a relationship. Unfortunately, we can do the same thing with God.
From Psalm 42:1-2: “As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
We can either walk in the world’s darkness or God’s light.
From Ephesians 5:10-11: “Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
When you are tempted to take matters into your own hands, remember the Lord’s guidance.
From Isaiah 30:15: “For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
