This is a new type of post, which will be posted on Saturday along with my usual writing. We can all appreciate some of the lesser known facts from around the world.
In the film “Back to the Future,” the time-travel device that sent Marty McFly from 1985 to 1955 (and back again) was originally written to be a refrigerator, not a DeLorean. The portal was changed to a car for fear that kids might emulate the film and start playing in refrigerators.
The U.S. cereal industry uses more than 800 million pounds of sugar per year. That’s more than three pounds per person.
These facts have been discovered in I NEVER KNEW THAT by David Hoffman (2009).
