This is a new type of post, which will be posted on Saturday along with my usual writing. We can all appreciate some of the less known facts from around the world.
According to mathematicians, a standard deck of cards needs to be shuffled seven times to adequately randomize the cards.
The military salute evolved from medieval times, when knights in armor would raise their visors to reveal their identities.
These facts have been discovered in I NEVER KNEW THAT by David Hoffman (2009).
these are fun to read; look forward to more of them…

Good comeback! Only in America, can we become paranoid about simple, blue mailboxes.

I think it’s more a question of mail theft and the Post Office trying to reduce work loads (picking up mail from those boxes).

I have a system using multiple piles, shuffling, and the first few Fibonacci numbers as an improvement over multiple shuffles.

Michael, thanks for sharing. My wife and I play some card games, and we have out own unique way of shuffling the cards. For some reason, it leads to more luck for me.
