Do you enjoy writing or reading poetry? Most of the posts on Big Sky Buckeye are poetry, but I also share short stories, photography, and a few surprises along the way. You are invited to sit a spell and find something that you like. I enjoy sharing my curiosity through my writing. You are welcome to like, comment, follow, share, or reblog a post.

Prayer is an important part of my faith journey. Praying for others brings me closer to God because my love for Jesus takes me to a quiet morning place. You are invited to witness and use prayer in your own lives. Taking some thoughts from some of my prayers, today’s poem carries on with compassion in “Faithful Prayer.”
In addition to my writing, view another journal entry posted on December 12 in From My Journal. While Big Sky Buckeye enjoys writing poetry, much of his journal writing is inspired from reading and commenting on other blogger’s posts.
You are encouraged to read a quote updated on December 12 from the words of American pastor and author Charles Swindoll. His words remind us of friendship and love.
Many of you enjoy photography (either your own or someone else’s). I frequently use photographs from a pair of metro parks located a short drive from my home. A beautiful and tranquil fall setting awaits. Check out the new photograph added on December 10 in the Photo Gallery.

My native state of Montana contains it’s share of majestic images. Living in Ohio offers beauty without the majestic.

Ah, I missed that. I didn’t realize Ohio was home now LOL. Haven’t made a trip to Ohio ever. Been close, up in Kentucky, but never actually made landfall there yet. The midwest and central area is missing from my travel log for the most part.

We all need to find our unique place here on WordPress. I redesigned my blog after the first couple of months. I wanted to allow images of Montana and Ohio to be in the header (four different images rotate there). I appreciate our dialogue. Best wishes!

I like reading and writing poetry, but generally I like shorter poetry better than really long stuff. I read once that many poetry writers don’t actually read poetry from others which just seems sad and egotistical in a sense.

Maranda, thanks for sharing your thoughts. If a poem flows and moves as if the words are a symphony, the reader will stay with the poem to its end. I try to read as much poetry as I can so that my appreciation for what I write grows.

The sounds of a summer morning, drift in to greet us mostly with joy. Birds singing..like my mom would say…twee twee twee twaa twaa ….if you are lu ky they are hold ing on to your twirling seed cake…you would swear they should be dizzy. My neighbor mowing and the aroma of wild garlic..reminds me to ask the wife for a good spaghetti dinner.
Summertime…when the living is easy.

Hello, from a fellow Montana transplant. Bob & I came here from central CA 13 years ago. We love it in Big Sky Country. We’re in Ennis. I’m a fellow poet, although currently my blog is featuring an A-Z series of inspirational pieces designed to help us look together at adding meaning and purpose to our lives. I can see that your blog already has a large following. Good for you! I look forward to perusing it and finding inspiration from one who shares my love of poetry and my quest to find out the “Why?” to the crazy world we live in and inexcusable acts we witness in the media daily… like synagogue shootings.

It is a pleasure to meet you Jan. It is amazing that you live in Montana, and you are blessed to live under the Big Sky. I have been to Ennis a few things, and I graduated from MSU. My youngest daughter and her husband live in Bozeman.

Thanks for sharing your journal and your writer’s corner! Both provide a place to pause, reflect, and rest from the rapid flowing river of a blog’s timeline.
Your Writer’s Corner is especially well done. It’s newsletter format helps this reader focus on highlights. But you already know that!
How do you do it? Can you help me do something similar?
Today’s post is freshly pressed with today’s dates but includes comments all the way back to February. Must you first unpublish, update, and then republish the post to provide this oasis for your readers?
Please, forgive my long comment. Thanks for sharing time and space as your writer’s journey continues. Thanks for making my journal richer, too!
