Lighthouses have long been a fascination for me, but growing up in Montana didn’t provide any opportunities to view these beautiful and iconic structures in person. Living in Ohio brings lighthouses much closer to me, and I am planning to venture to the northern border of the Buckeye State to take a look at least one along Lake Erie’s shoreline. In preparing for such a trip, I completed some research about these “Nightly Sentinels”, which is a poem inspired from my study.
Here are some of the previous posts. You will find a variety of poems from the past few weeks.

Plan to visit the Photo Gallery. Pictures from the Big Sky Country of Montana and the Buckeye State of Ohio will be posted from time to time. Unless noted, any photos used on the site have been taken by yours truly (I enjoy sharing some of my photography here).
